Project progress on the eve of 2021

The international pandemic situation of the Covid-19 since March 2020 has changed the forecast of the Art-Connection project.

This had an impact on Stage 1, which took longer than expected because of the need for each organization to reorganize all activities globally to cope with and adapt to this exceptional situation.

It also created a lot of mental burden and a strong sense of insecurity.

The activities of the project have been constantly postponed as the pandemic was evolving!

Only two out of four of the transnational meetings between partners, which had been initially scheduled, were able to take place. As a result, bilateral and transnational remote meetings have been multiplied.

The day of dissemination of the first results of the project, which was originally planned in Rome in October 2020, as well as the learning activity that was to take place in the United Kingdom in December 2020, …. still have not been able to be organized!

The pandemic also affected Stage 2, which has only started since October 2020 (instead of June 2020) and only in France (APapp) and the United Kingdom (Lboro).

However, this is an exceptional situation that does not jeopardize the success of the project, which has, moreover, benefited from a three-month extension.

Of course, the first work undertaken was put under duress and fell behind, but this period of the project also allowed the partners of the Art-Connection project to learn to appreciate each other, to work together, to discover the specifics of each one and to measure the full dimension of the Art-Connection project!

With regard to the first productions (1st and 2nd deliverables), a considerable work has allowed the partners to better realize the potential and specificity of the Art-Connection partnership and to define how to conduct the Art-Connection project in a methodology of participatory action research, with stakeholders mobilized in the four territories.
